Mississippi State will be playing its third game in six days but this time they will hit the road to the bayou to take on LSU.
The 23rd ranked Bulldogs will tipoff at the Maravich Assembly Center tonight at 8 p.m. looking for a season sweep against the Tigers.
MSU is looking to sweep LSU for the fourth time in six years and gunning for their third straight road win in the series. Despite the recent success by the Bulldogs, the Tigers still hold a seven game lead in the series 104-97.
State held off LSU 76-71 on Jan. 25 in Starkville thanks in part to a double-double effort from Arnett Moultrie. The junior forward scored 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting and brought down 12 boards.
Rick Stansbury is 18-12 against the Tigers in his 14 years as a head coach.
The Bulldogs enter today's game with a 19-6 overall record and a 6-4 mark inside the league. Mississippi State has won two of their last three outings but had their 13-game home winning streak snapped in overtime Saturday by Georgia despite 21 points from senior point guard Dee Bost.
