Ryan Russell's season started exactly how many figured it would: With the sophomore dominating.
In Purdue's first three games, Russell had 13 tackles that included 4.5 for a loss and two sacks.
But then he got hurt against Eastern Michigan and injuries started to pile up, most damaging nagging ankle issues that limited his effectiveness.
