NFL Boilers: Brees breaks record

Although the Saints have been eliminated from the playoffs, Drew Brees has put together another solid season.

And it's a record-breaker.

Brees is the first player in NFL history to throw for more than 4,500 yards in three consecutive seasons.

Certainly, Brees' family is proud of his accomplishments, and that would include his grandfather, a Texas football legend in his own right.

Pro Bowl teams will be announced tonight.

There's at least a few Boilermakers to keep an eye on. Brees might be selected yet again, but so could Rob Ninkovich, Anthony Spencer and Bernard Pollard.

Two offensive linemen missed parts or all of Sunday's action. Uche Nwaneri left the Jaguars' loss to the Patriots with a concussion, while Tennessee right tackle Mike Otto was forced to miss the game due to sickness.

The following is a look at the NFL Boilers, their roles and their Week 16 statistics.
