Balancing the line
With the Ohio State offensive line effort picking up steam with three of the top offensive linemen in the nation and several other big time players heavily considering the Buckeyes it is time to look back at how offensive line recruiting has treated the Bucks in years past. With Jim Bollman and the line having the opportunity to take as many as five linemen looking back through the history book in recent memory shows that Ohio State has never had such a bounty since the class of 2002 and that the crop of talent out this year warrants special considerations when putting a class together.
Mike Adams, Michael Brewster and J.B. Shugarts have already all given their pledge to be Buckeyes in the class of 2008. Players like Kyle Long, Josh Jenkins, Lucas Nix, Greg Shaw, Matt Lipski, Zebrie Sanders and other top flight linemen are all still on the board. Of course the Buckeyes can't take everyone and haven't extended offers to several top linemen that in a different season would likely have been offered long ago.
