April 12, 2013Boilermaker forward Jacob Lawson is leaving the Purdue basketball program, the school announced Friday evening.
The junior-to-be from North Carolina joins center Sandi Marcius as those who've left the program since the conclusion of the season.
"We enjoyed having Jacob as a member of our program for two years," Coach Matt Painter said in a released statement. "He's a quality young man and we wish him the best moving forward."
Lawson played an average of 11 minutes per game this season, averaging 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds. He started 10 games, but saw his playing time decrease significantly as the season wore on, as freshman Rapheal Davis moved into being Purdue's primary power forward-type.
