Long-time Purdue recruiting target Trevon Bluiett has de-committed from UCLA following his September commitment, according to Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star.
Bluiett, a Rivals.com four-star wing who originally listed the Boilermakers among his final list of seven schools, will likely look for a school closer to his Indianapolis home, The Star reported.
"I think the distance part of it played a factor," Bluiett's father, Reynardo Bluiett, told the newspaper. "When he sat down and thought about it, I think the distance from home was hard for him."
When Bluiett committed to UCLA, he was scheduled to officially visit Purdue during the Sept. 14 weekend, a visit that was canceled.
Among those schools who were listed as finalists for Bluiett in the first place were Michigan, Butler, Arizona and Xavier, many of which have received commitments from comparable players since that time.
Purdue has continued to actively recruit guards and wings.
