A pair of Purdue signees led the West Team to a 92-72 victory over the East Wednesday evening in the second annual McDonald's All-America Girls Game in Cleveland's Gund Arena.

Katie Gearlds, a 6-foot-1 guard from Beech Grove, Ind., scored a game-high 17 points and also had a team-high four assists, three rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes. She was 6-of-8 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, and was perfect in two attempts from the foul line.

Erin Lawless, a 6-2 forward from Berwyn, Ill., scored 16 points, making her the game's second-leading scorer. She was 7-for-14 from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. Lawless opened the scoring for the West with a three-pointer, giving her squad a 3-2 lead, one it would never relinquish. Narbonne (Calif.) High School coach James Anderson guided the winning West squad. He was the prep coach of Indi Johnson, Purdue's third and final member of the incoming freshman class.
