Painter isn't going anywhere. The only way he would leave is if a program like Duke offered him significantly more money and Purdue wasn't willing to match it. With all due respect to Mizzou, Purdue's program is better and it is his alma mater. If there is anything to this story it is, like Brian said, either the Mizzou AD or Painter's people floating the story for personal gain. As Brian said, eventually Burke will have to pay Painter the going rate for a coach of his caliber, but as long as he does that then I think it's fair to say that Painter is a lifer.
