We need to realize that although most of us are obsessivly following each lead and going on an emotional roller coaster (I know I am). The people involved in the process (i.e., Painter and Burke) actually know what is happening. As far as we know, Painter told Burke he is going to take a look at the Mizzou opening, and Burke is waiting to see what Mizzou proposes, so he can counter offer.
