Thorson makes return trip to Iowa

Wheaton North junior Clayton Thorson was one of the first quarterbacks that Iowa offered in the Class of 2014 and he was back on campus Saturday to watch the Hawkeyes host Penn State. We caught up with the 6-foot-4, 190-pound Thorson to talk about the visit, the game day atmosphere for a night game at Kinnick Stadium, the latest on his recruiting, and much more.

Q: Can you talk about the Iowa visit and what you got to do there yesterday?

THORSON: We got there and had like a tailgate style dinner. Then we got a tour of the facilities and everything. After that, we went down to the field before the game and then just watched the game.

Q: You went there last month for an early game. Is it different for a night game?

THORSON: Yeah, it's much more electric, I guess you could say, just because Iowa's fan base is so good and they always pack the stadium. It was cool to see a night game there.
