GA LB waiting for camp invitation

Three-star linebacker Milton Patterson from Banneker High School in College Park, Ga. just outside the Atlanta city limits has an offer in hand from Mississippi State, but he's just a phone call away from being interested in Ole Miss.

Patterson, 5-foot-11, 230 pounds, accounted for 120 tackles and four sacks as a junior last fall.

"I recently got an offer from Mississippi State and also picked up an offer from Savannah State," Paterson said on Wednesday. "I'd be interested in Ole Miss, maybe going to camp there if they invite me."

Patterson said he's received some mail from the Rebel staff, but is yet to receive a call from the coaches.

Ole Miss will hold its invited, senior day camp on July 26.

"Ole Miss, I don't know a lot about them, but I do know that they had a real good linebacker (Patrick Willis, first round NFL draft choice in 2007) that I really liked," Patterson said. "They are in the SEC and I really like the SEC and would like to play in the SEC."

Patterson says he plans to camp at State in July and also will camp at Auburn.

Schools he's showing interest in include Alabama and Auburn in addition to the two Mississippi schools.

Patterson currently has a 2.3 GPA and made a 17 on his ACT.

"I'm currently going to summer school to get my GPA up," Patterson said.
