Walsh looking to repeat success as a junior

Denton Guyer sophomore quarterback J.W. Walsh made his first start ever on the varsity level in the 2008 opener against Carrollton Newman Smith. There were high hopes for Walsh, the son of head coach John Walsh, as well the rest of the Guyer team, which had a number of talented prospects on the roster.

Walsh was in the midst of an excellent debut, throwing for two touchdowns and averaging nearly ten yards per carry on the ground, when disaster struck.
