Junior QB impressed with AU offense

Recruits are taking notice. When a team is putting up the numbers on offense like Auburn, it's hard not to.

One of the nation's top junior quarterbacks, Hagerty High's Jeff Driskel of Oviedo, Fla., already had high interest in the Tigers before the season began. Two games in, his interest has only grown, especially after Saturday night.

Driskel, already 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, was one of several unofficial visitors in Auburn to watch as the Tigers put up nearly 600 yards of total offense and 49 points in an SEC-win over Mississippi State.

"Oh yeah, I'm impressed," said Driskel. "I'm very impressed. They put up a bunch of points and a bunch of yards. The numbers show that the offense works.

"Saturday night, I watched how fast-paced it is. They didn't huddle up too much. They kept the fast pace going and they scored in bunches and they scored fast. I liked the tempo and it seemed like it was hard to stop."
