Quarterback Nicholas Sipe has committed to Purdue following a visit this weekend, according to his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder from Villa Park, Calif., committed to Purdue after spending Friday on an unofficial visit, then participating in the program's Friday Night Lights camp.

"It's gone great," Sipe said of his Purdue visit following the camp. "I'm really impressed with everything, from the new coaches to the facilities. I've been impressed with Coach (Tim) Lester, Coach (Darrell) Hazell and it's just been a really great time."

The Rivals.com three-star prospect chose Purdue over offers from Boise State, Colorado State, Old Dominion and Ivy League schools. Washington and Colorado have also been interested.

As a junior at Villa Park, Sipe passed for approximately 2,900 yards, with 31 touchdowns against just six interceptions.

"(Purdue) said I can fit their scheme really well and that I'd do well here," Sipe said, before leaving campus.

Sipe joins Florida QB Griffin Alstott and Memphis defensive end Tijaun Mason as Purdue 2017 commitments.
