Elliott honored

Boilermaker quarterback Joey Elliott has been named the Big Ten's Offensive Player-of-the-Week following Purdue's win at Michigan, its first in Ann Arbor since 1966.
In the 38-36 victory in Michigan Stadium, the fifth-year senior completed 28-of-39 passes for a career-high 367 yards and two touchdowns. Both the interceptions he threw were tipped.

Elliott also ran for an eight-yard touchdown, a score that turned out to be the game-winner.
He's Purdue's second offensive honoree of the season, joining running back Ralph Bolden, who won the award following the season opener vs. Toledo.
