Shane Evans had options after he graduated early from Northern Illinois in December.

He could have stayed with the Huskies, a program that's developed into a perennial bowl participant. But that wasn't going to work with the master's degree he was hoping to pursue. So that meant a new chapter, a new college.

Purdue was the right fit from academics and athletics perspectives, Evans said before arriving to campus in mid-June in an "Entrance Interview."
