Former Boilermakers in the NFL: Week #7 update

Another week of the NFL season is down and Purdue's representatives in the professional ranks were in action, headlined by Aidan O'Connell's first career touchdown pass, George Karlaftis notching another sack and Ja'Whaun Bentley leading his team in tackles.

Aidan O'Connell: Las Vegas Raiders

O'Connell was active for the first time since his start against the Chargers earlier this season, but was the backup for Brian Hoyer on Sunday. After Hoyer struggled, O'Connell came in for mop up duty and found some success.

He went 10/13 for 75 yards and thew his first career touchdown pass to Jakobi Myers in the fourth quarter, while also having an interception in limited snaps. If starter Jimmy Garoppolo missed more time, look for the Boilermaker rookie to see the field.

Raheem Mostert: Miami Dolphins

Mostert had a slow start on Sunday night for a Dolphins offense that couldn't get much of anything going in a loss to the Eagles. The NFL's leader in touchdowns had just nine carries for 45 yards and one catch for six yards in the defeat.

George Karlaftis: Kansas City Chiefs

Karlaftis is starting to find his groove with the Chiefs in year two, securing his second straight game with a sack in Kansas City's 31-17 win over the Chargers. Karlaftis is now up to 3.5 sacks on the season.

Ja'Whaun Bentley: New England Patriots

Bentley was tied for a team-high with nine total tackles in the Patriots' upset win over the Bills on Sunday, and now has 49 tackles on the season.

Rondale Moore: Arizona Cardinals

Moore was used in a gadget-type role once again for the Cardinals, who fell to 1-6 with a loss to Seattle on Sunday. The third year man had four carries for 24 yards and two catches for two yards.

Derrick Barnes: Detroit Lions

Barnes had just two total tackles for the Lions, who got trounced by the Ravens 38-6 on Sunday.

David Bell: Cleveland Browns

While Bell had a homecoming of sorts, playing in his hometown of Indianapolis, Bell did not have a target in the Browns thrilling victory over the Colts.

Brycen Hopkins: Los Angeles Rams

Hopkins hauled in his lone target for five yards in the Rams' loss to Pittsburgh. The fourth-year tight end now has three catches for 31 yards on the season.
