HAMMOND — Back home in Chicagoland for the Christmas break, Malik Hall used the opportunity to make an unofficial visit to Purdue for its pre-holiday win over Tennessee State.
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound top-50 Class of 2019 forward attends Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas, but was home in Montgomery, Ill., over break.
“There were a couple schools I could have gone to, but I thought Purdue would be the most fun to see,” Hall said Tuesday, after Sunrise’s blowout win over Moreau Catholic from California at the Mac Jenks Invitational at Bishop Noll in Hammond. “I know a couple kids on the team and it was good to see them and the school.”
