Isaac Haas knows more will be needed from him this season
More ($): Senior season affords Edwards a chance for leading role
Purdue's one-of-a-kind stockpile of size from years past has now mostly gone its separate ways and now it's truly Isaac Haas' time for the Boilermakers as a senior.
Gone are A.J. Hammons, who Haas shared the center position with as a freshman and sophomore, and Caleb Swanigan, who took his share of the minutes at the 5 during his All-America season last year.
Now, only Haas remains, aiming for his best season yet, with Purdue needing just that.
"They're leaning on me more to be a dominant force in the post," Haas said at the start of Purdue's summer practices. "I basically have to be that guy in the post, and that's fine with me. I was ready to do it last year and ready to do it the year before. … It's just a matter of doing it. We'll have to wait to see in November."
