INDIANAPOLIS - Behind 28 points from five-star prospect Romeo Langford, New Albany shook off McCutcheon 62-59 Saturday night for Indiana's Class 4A championship.

Maverick guard Robert Phinisee, also a sophomore, finished with 13 points, six rebounds and six assists and led his team to a 33-28 halftime lead before the Bulldogs pulled ahead in the second half, in which Robert Phinisee played through seeing his older brother, Charles, go down with an apparent knee injury.

Robert Phinisee holds offers from Purdue, Indiana and others.

Langford has been offered by Purdue, Indiana, Louisville and a host of others. John Calipari of Kentucky was in Bankers Life Fieldhouse to scout him Saturday night and Duke has been involved as well.

Purdue coach Matt Painter, Indiana coach Tom Crean and Butler coach Chris Holtmann attended the game Saturday night as well, to see both Langford and Phinisee.
