Three big visitors: Purdue's first big official visit weekend of the summer is in the books. It hosted the following three players.

The Louisville Moore D-end/linebacker is one of Purdue's highest priorities regardless of position, and the Boilermakers have his ear, have for a long time now, as he's visited West Lafayette at least four times now. Georgia's offered and Louisville and Kentucky will fight like crazy to keep him in-state.

The dynamic offensive athlete used his first official visit on Purdue.

The competition for him will be daunting, as Ohio State and Michigan have offered, at least verbally, to go along the fights that Louisville and Kentucky and long-standing contender Duke will put up.

But Purdue does have cache with offensive skill players and advocates in Kentucky supporting its pitch.

By past standards, it's taken forever for the quarterback position to resolve itself. Closure might be nearing, though, as Piferi said he'll decide in coming days.

Purdue is expected to push double-digits with its visitor list next weekend. Stay tuned to GoldandBlack.com throughout the week for details.

Keion Brooks' top 10: There is no surprise here, but Purdue made the top-10 for Fort Wayne blue-chip forward Keion Brooks.

It might be an uphill battle to sign him, but Purdue has been a maintstay in the Fort Wayne North Side star's recruitment since it offered him as a freshman, before anyone else.

Eric Hunter as an All-Star: Purdue freshman Eric Hunter scored 12 points, with three assists and no turnovers in the Indiana All-Stars' win over Kentucky Saturday in Indianapolis, a night after scoring 10 in a loss to Kentucky in Kentucky.

Hunter is already enrolled at Purdue, and was joined the past few days by classmates Emmanuel Dowuona and Trevion Williams.

David Bell's top five: Warren Central wide receiver and top-100 national prospect David Bell announced a top five last week of Purdue, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn State and Iowa.

The four-star prospect is widely considered the No. 1 player in a loaded Indiana 2019 class.

Camp No. 2: Purdue's second prospect camp will be held Monday evening.

Stay tuned to GoldandBlack.com for coverage afterward.
