NFL Boilers: Call helps Brees in Week 11

Drew Brees has been the source of a bit of controversy this week, following a hit he took during the Saints' win over the 49ers Sunday.
Late in the back-and-forth game, 49er Ahmad Brooks sacked Brees, causing a fumble that was recovered by San Francisco. But officials threw a flag, ruling that Brooks had hit Brees across the neck.

It was certainly violent, but was it a penalty. Brooks doesn't think so. Neither does future Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, who pointed out Brees' height, among other things, were factors during a rant on "Monday Night Countdown" on ESPN.
So, what do you think: Legal or not?
