The following is a look at former Boilermakers playing in the NFL, with news, notes and their Week 2 statistics.

• Akeem Hunt's stint as a practice teamer was short.

After one week inactive with Kansas City, the running back and return man was on the Chiefs' 53-man roster. In the Chiefs' win over Philadelphia on Sunday, he had one kick return for 40 yards.

Hunt had been with Houston before being released before the start of the season.

• Anthony Brown's interception in Week 1, the second of his career and second vs. Eli Manning, has left the second-year Cowboy wanting more.

The cornerback is likely to get chances, either as an outside cornerback or at nickel, where he played vs. the Giants and started vs. Denver on Sunday.

• Brandin Cooks wanted out of New Orleans, reportedly, because Drew Brees' supposed declining arm strength.

The problem is that the numbers don't bare that out; Brees has been and continues to be one of the best deep-ball throwers in the NFL.

The Saints' problem? A historically bad defense.

Cooks is now in New England, which beat New Orleans on Sunday.
