Here's our eclectic look at some of the numbers surrounding Purdue football after the Missouri game and leading into the contest with Boston College:

0

The number of walk-off game-winning field goals in the 93-year history of Ross-Ade Stadium, prior to two weeks ago of course. From what we can find, the closest thing was a 59-yard field goal as the clock hit zero by Michigan State's Ralf Mojsiejenko in 1983, and that kick left the Boilermakers and Spartans with a 29-all tie.

5

FBS-level players since 2000 to have thrown for 570 yards, at least three touchdowns with one or fewer interceptions and a rushing touchdown in a game. After his game against Missouri, David Blough joined Patrick Mahomes and B.J. Symons (Texas Tech), Nick Florence (Baylor) and Drew Anderson (Buffalo) in accomplishing this feat. Yet, Symons was the only quarterback to lead his team to victory of the group.

37-10-8

The number of years, months and days Illinois quarterback Dave Wilson held the Big Ten record for total offense (585 yards) before David Blough broke it vs. Missouri.

0-3

Win-loss record for the quarterbacks during the three most prolific passing efforts in Big Ten history. The 1980 Illini lost to No. 7 Ohio State 49-42 despite Wilson's 621 passing yards. Blough threw for 572 and lost to Missouri and Iowa's Chuck Hartleib amassed 558 yards in a 45-34 loss at Indiana in 1988. It bears noting, however, Illinois and Purdue were underdogs and Iowa was a slight favorite in those games.

593

The yardage thrown for by Western Kentucky's Brandon Doughty, the high-water mark for a Jeff Brohm-coached quarterback, 21 more yards than Blough threw for vs. Mizzou. Doughty threw for those 593 yards in a single game in Brohm's first year at WKU, but it was also in a losing effort. Brohm's teams' other top three passing performances (569, 517 and 491 yards, all at WKU) resulted in Hilltoppers' victories.

22

Passes completed of over 40 yards by David Blough during his Purdue career. That ties him with Curtis Painter (2005-08), and trails only Kyle Orton's 33 for passes of that distance dating back to 2001. All but six of Blough's passes of 40-plus resulted in touchdowns, but none of the four in 2018 have resulted in TDs.

4

Times that a Brohm-coached team has been beaten by more than 10 points during his 56-game tenure as head coach. Three of those losses came to highly ranked foes: No. 1 Alabama (28 points, 2016), No. 5 LSU (28, 2015) and No. 8 Michigan (18, 2017). Brohm's most one-sided loss was a 59-10 whipping at the hands of Louisiana Tech in the eighth game of Brohm's first year as a head coach. After that loss in 2014, Brohm's Western Kentucky squad won its last five games of the season, including a bowl.

1

Rondale Moore's ranking among 2018 freshmen with 25 receptions. Moore is currently tied for sixth in the nation in this category and there are no other freshmen ranked in the top 20. Colorado's Preston Williams leads the nations with 36 receptions, but has played in four games. Moore's 8.3 receptions per game place him fifth in FBS.

6

Consecutive losses for Purdue on Homecoming dating back to 2012. Purdue's last win on Homecoming was also the last time it beat a ranked team, a 21-14 win over No. 23 Illinois on Oct. 22, 2011. Boston College is ranked No. 23 this week.

1996

The last time a Purdue team beat an ACC team in Ross-Ade Stadium, a 42-21 win over North Carolina State when junior running back Edwin Watson ran for a career-best 227 yards. Purdue beat current ACC member Syracuse 51-0 in 2004, but the Orange were part of the Big East at the time. The Boilermakers are 6-3-1 against the ACC at home, but lost their last two (2015 vs. Virginia Tech, and 2002 vs. Wake Forest).
