Thanks to Iowa's come-from-behind win at Wisconsin Thursday night, Purdue now has the Big Ten regular season championship all to itself.
Wisconsin needed to win its final two games, in conjunction with a Purdue loss at Northwestern Sunday, to share the title that Purdue clinched at least a share of Tuesday night against Indiana. It let slip a nine-point lead to the Hawkeyes, though, and allowed Iowa to end the game on a 7-0 run to win 59-57.
In a shocking turn, the Badgers have now lost five of their last six. It was 10-1 in the Big Ten prior.
This will be Purdue's first outright conference crown since 1996 and the league-leading 23rd regular season championship — outright or shared — in its history.
