Quick Count: Purdue Practice No. 15

In its shortest practice of camp, Purdue was on the field for less than an hour Wednesday morning.

• Purdue continued to rotate options at right tackle, using Matt McCann and Jalen Neal there with the first-team unit.

• Though Martesse Patterson anticipated he may return to practice Wednesday, he missed the morning. It's possible he'll be back for the afternoon, though. He wasn't the only potential starter to get a rest in the morning, though the other key guys aren't coming off injury. More about that in analysis later this morning.

Robert Gregory and Navon Mosley both got first-team reps at safety, a position that appears to still be getting figured out with Mosley's late push.

• The afternoon practice is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
