Quick Count: Purdue's kick scrimmage

• Unofficial numbers on the kickers for Saturday: Freshman J.D. Dellinger made 11-of-14 field goals, including a long of 48. His misses were from 39, 39 and 48. Walk-on Myles Homan was 8-for-12.

• Cornerback Da'Wan Hunte had the day's only block, getting off the edge to take a punt off Joe Schopper's foot.

• Schopper had nine punts for an unofficial average of 42.2 yards, including a 59-yard boomer that Cameron Posey fielded but then was smothered for a three-yard loss by Malcolm Dotson.

• With return specialist Malik Kimbrough not in pads, Purdue used Posey, Jackson Anthrop, Jack Wegher, Josh Hayes and Brandon Roberts on punt return. Roberts fumbled his only attempt, the only ball on the ground by a returner during the scrimmage.

• On kick return, Purdue had Wegher, Anthrop, Hayes and Brian Lankford-Johnson back.

• Saturday is a two-a-day, so the Boilermakers will also have an afternoon practice, expected to begin at 3:30 p.m. either in Mollenkopf or Bimel.
