Report: Illinois assistant headed to Purdue

First-year Illinois offensive line coach Jim Bridge is headed to Purdue to fill the final vacancy on Darrell Hazell's coaching staff, FootballScoop.com reported Tuesday.
Bridge would replace Jim Bollman, who left the Boilermakers after a matter of just weeks on the job to take a shared coordinator position at Michigan State.

Prior to being hired by Illinois this winter, Bridge spent the prior six seasons at North Carolina State, where he was offensive line coach in 2011 and 2012 and tight ends coach from 2007-2010.
Prior, he was tight ends coach at Boston College from 2003-06.
The one apparent tie to Hazell would come in that Bridge was a graduate assistant coach at Ohio State in 2001 under Jim Tressel, Hazell's head coach during his six seasons with the Buckeyes.
