Texas guard has Purdue's attention
WESTFIELD — One of Purdue's recent targets brought over with new assistant coach Steve Lutz has been three-star Class of 2018 guard Jamal Bieniemy.
The 6-foot-3 native of Katy, Texas is playing for Houston Hoops this spring in the Nike EYBL as he's played a valuable role for a 5-3 team.
Bieniemy has continued to talk to Lutz over the last few weeks.
"He just told me that he was going to keep recruiting me, he liked how I played. And that we were just going to start a winning relationship at Purdue," Bieniemy said of Lutz. "It's great, we talk almost every day. We talk a lot."
Also hearing from schools like Creighton, Houston, Northwestern, Oklahoma and Texas A&M, Bieniemy sounds like he wants to know more about Purdue in the near future.
