Top Purdue wide receiver target discusses weekend visit
When Jeff Brohm was hired at Purdue in December, he set aside for a moment his more urgent Class of 2017 needs and made it one of his first recruiting acts for the Boilermakers to offer Class of 2018 Rondale Moore.
Brohm knew the Louisville Trinity receiver well, having recruited him for Western Kentucky. Both Jeff Brohm and brother Brian — Purdue's quarterbacks coach — went to Trinity, before each went on to play at Louisville. Their father, Oscar, is the school's quarterbacks coach.
Point being, Purdue's coach didn't just discover Moore when he moved to the Big Ten, and vice versa.
"With (the Brohms) being from Trinity, obviously, I've definitely heard their names a long time. When they were at WKU, I went to a few of their games, watched them and met with them after games. I have a real good connection with them."
Both sides rekindled that connection on Saturday, when the 5-foot-9, 175-pound athlete visited for the school's junior day.
