Jeff Brohm's reputation as an innovative offensive mind, mostly, is because of his creativity and willingness to try uncommon things.
But it's clear this season Purdue's offensive personnel isn't necessarily geared toward Brohm's ideal vertical-passing game, trick-filled plan. So Brohm has had to shift gears, a bit, and that's showed up in the last two games at least as the play caller relying more on Purdue's running game.
It's not quite "conservative" in the wide definition but, at least by Brohm's standards, that's the case.
