The sectional round of the IHSAA state tournament is complete. After starting the week with 403 teams we are now down to 64, with 16 remaining in each class. Next up is the regional round. In recent years the IHSAA has tweaked the tournament to have two single-game regionals at eight sites arounds the state, leading to a pair of four-team seni-states in each class the following week.

As always, Purdue has a strong eye on the tournament. This year is no different. Jack Benter is still alive in class 2A, as are some other strong prospects.
