Alumni game, scrimmage in August

Some of Purdue's best players will be back in Mackey Arena this summer to play in an alumni game.
But Aug. 4 won't only showcase former Boilermakers.

After the alumni game, which will is scheduled to include Brian Cardinal, Troy Lewis and Todd Mitchell among others, fans will get their first look at the 2012-2013 version of the team. The current Boilermakers will use one of their 10 extra practices to prepare for their trip to Italy as an intrasquad scrimmage.
"We're thrilled to be able to hold these two games this summer," Purdue head coach Matt Painter said in a statement. "I'm excited for our fans to get an early look at our current team, and I'm equally excited to honor our former players and get them back in Mackey Arena."
The alumni game is set to tip off at 2 p.m. ET on Keady Court. Also on the list of former players expected to participate is Tarrance Crump, Carson Cunningham, Chris Kramer, Keaton Grant, Marcus Green, Matt Kiefer, Kenneth Lowe, Bobby Riddell, Ryne Smith, David Teague and Mark Wohlford.
Tickets for the games will be priced at $10 for the lower level (reserved) and $5 for the upper level (general admission). A limited number of free tickets will be available to students.
Premium seat holders for men's basketball can purchase their normal seat ticket locations from June 18-20. All John Purdue Club members can begin purchasing tickets on June 21, with a priority deadline of July 3. Seating assignments will be made by using the John Purdue Club priority points system.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on July 9.
