As Jeff Brohm and his coaching staff have sought to make Purdue more relevant with the top players in Indiana, the first step has been to get said players on campus.

Another one came through on Wednesday, as North Central DB D.J. Johnson made an unofficial visit, a trip he said changed his perception of the Boilermaker program.

"My first impression (at the start of the recruiting process) was that they're not doing too well right now and I don't know if that's a place I want to be," Johnson said, "but when I got up there, it was totally different. It definitely changed my mind about them.
