Beckford arrested
Boilermaker starting linebacker Dwayne Beckford was arrested at 3:57 a.m. Friday morning on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to Purdue University Police Department records.
The 20-year-old junior didn't start the season finale at Indiana as punishment for throwing punches at the end of the Iowa game a week earlier.
Also, he was benched for the first quarter against Southeast Missouri State for undisclosed disciplinary reasons.
