Brohm wants to see, not hear, confidence from Purdue

Jeff Brohm is a confident coach, and that confidence often oozes into his players.

That’s certainly been on display in the way the Boilermakers have played the first four weeks of the season, showing a more determined attitude and consistent effort in winning two games and battling in losses to two other top-25 opponents.

But Brohm doesn't want that confidence to trickle outside the locker room either, as it did last week, before the Michigan game. Then, Purdue had a few players speak too boldly, he said after the 28-10 loss, presumably including senior captain Gregory Phillips’ insinuation the Boilermakers would beat the Wolverines.
