Charges filed against Lymon, two others
In the spring, Selwyn Lymon's ordeal took center stage. It did Thursday as well, as the starting wide receiver and two senior teammates drew charges from the Tippecanoe County prosecutor's office, stemming from the incident.
In the early morning hours of March 30, Lymon, who'll turn 21 Sept. 21, was stabbed in the chest in the altercation outside Nick's Nightclub in West Lafayette, and hospitalized for several days with an injury to his lung.

According to the Tippecanoe County Courthouse's online database, Lymon has been charged on six counts: for operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more; battery; disorderly conduct; false informing (of authorities); and minor in possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol.
Tippecanoe County prosecutor Pat Harrington told the Lafayette Journal and Courier Thursday that charges will not be filed against Lymon's assailant, who was deemed to be acting in her own self-defense.
Other football players connected to the incident also drew charges from the prosecutor's office Thursday.
Starting linebacker and recently tabbed team captain Stanford Keglar was charged with battery, false informing and disorderly conduct. Reserve defensive back Jonte Lindsey was charged with false informing and disorderly conduct.
According to the Indiana legislative services registry, false informing, in this context, would occur when a person, "gives a false report of the commission of a crime or gives false information in the official investigation of the commission of a crime, knowing the report or information to be false."
In a released statement, assistant athletic director and football spokesman Tom Schott said Purdue is aware of the charges, but has no further comment at this time.
