Elder commits to Miami

Purdue 2013 basketball recruiting target Cornelius Elder opted for football after all, as the Nashville native tweeted Wednesday that he's committed to play football at Miami.
Elder, a point guard, was one of the highest-regard "athlete" recruits in the 2013 football class and fielded offer from several power programs because of it.

But he withheld on signing on signing day last week and was said to be intrigued by the possibility of playing high-major basketball instead of football.
Purdue never got him on campus for a visit, however, as the official visit he'd planned for this past weekend was canceled due to a death in the family.
