Jaylan Alexander has lofty goals for his freshman season in West Lafayette.
Even though he plays inside linebacker, starting spots that are currently manned by Purdue's best player and a sophomore who was intentionally not redshirted last season so he'd be ready for this opportunity. But Alexander, from the Chicago suburbs, is ready to compete to move up the depth chart.
And by "compete," he's ready to work.
GoldandBlack.com caught up with the incoming freshman, who will enroll in June after graduating from Hoffman Estates in mid-May, on Monday.
