Purdue would seem to be set at tight end for 2017 with two of its most talented and potential-packed players returning at that spot in junior Cole Herdman and rising sophomore Brycen Hopkins.

And while incoming tight end Darius Pittman acknowledges the skill set of the players ahead of him on the depth chart, he also has no intentions of settling for a backup role in his rookie year.

Armed with double-digit receiving touchdowns in his final two seasons in high school, Pittman plans to fight for snaps.

The Mississippi native, who will graduate high school May 27 and enroll at Purdue a couple weeks later, chatted about what that'll look like, why he thinks he can find a role in Year 1 and much more in GoldandBlack.com's Entrance Interview.
