Already, Purdue has washed much of the stink of the last four years away.
It can eliminate what is remaining on Saturday, when the Boilermakers host Indiana, not only with a chance to win back the Old Oaken Bucket, but earn a trip to bowl game.
Both, as it happens, would be firsts since 2012.
