A.J. Hammons is a member of the Miami Heat.
The second-year professional was traded on Thursday evening, per The Vertical, leaving Dallas after a season that saw him play in 22 games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per.
Hammons, a former All-Big Ten first-teamer and conference Defensive player-of-the-year at Purdue, was the 46th overall pick by the Mavericks in 2016.
