Purdue keeps hammering away at what might be its most important position for the 2018 recruiting class: Wide receiver.
Wednesday night, Georgia's Tayvonn Kyle told GoldandBlack.com he's committed to the Boilermakers, a few weeks after an in-season official visit.
"I just felt like it was a great school all-around and not just from the football aspect and not just from the academic aspect," said Kyle, who visited for the Illinois game. "It's an all-around great school and an all-around great place. It's not too busy, it's just right, just enough for you to go up there, get a great education, play at a high-level of football and have fun while doing so."
The 6-foot, 165-pound Rivals.com three-star prospect from Lowndes High School in Valdosta chose Purdue over offers from Illinois, West Virginia, Wake Forest and others.
He also projects as a potential kick returner for Purdue and he said Boilermaker coaches have also mentioned the possibility of him playing defense, too.
"They basically want me to be able to use my speed to beat people in space," Kyle said.
He joins Georgia's Jordan Bonner and New York's Amad Anderson as Purdue's receiver commits, while it remains in pursuit of Louisville's Rondale Moore, a long-time target who's currently committed to Texas.
