GoldandBlack.com Analysis and Wrap Video: Purdue's loss to Clemson

Purdue's fell short of a preseason championship Thursday night, falling to Clemson 81-70 in the title game of the Space Coast Challenge.

Here's our post-game analysis.

GETTING WILLIAMS GOING

It goes without saying that from here on out, Purdue has to get more from Preseason All-Big Ten big man Trevion Williams, the Boilermakers' top player and its offensive focal point.

Through two games, rhythm has eluded him as he's not been nearly as efficient as he'd like and hasn't been the scoring presence Purdue should expect based on his body of work to this point in his career.

But that happens.

Many of Williams' misses the past two games have come in his sweet spots. He's gotten the shots he wants at times and they've simply missed, a few of them to start the Clemson game.

Meanwhile, his rebounding and passing really matter for this team.

But obviously there is more to give.
