GoldandBlack.com Analysis: Purdue's win over Iowa

Purdue's Nojel Eastern
Nojel Eastern led Purdue's defensive effort against Joe Weiskamp (AP)

Purdue needed this win over No. 17 Iowa and got it, blowing out the Hawkeyes 104-68.

Our post-game analysis and Wrap Video from the Boilermaker win.

LOTS OF CREDIT TO GO AROUND

Purdue had five players score 13 or more points, but way more contribute profoundly.

A few things worth highlighting ...

• Trevion Williams' energy: The big man got Purdue off to a great start against the premier matchup the Boilermaker big men will see all season in Luka Garza, who'll likely be a first-team All-American in a few weeks. Garza is the real deal and started well himself, but it was Williams who set the tone for this outcome to open the game.
