To help commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Purdue's magical turnaround 1997 season, GoldandBlack.com's staff will break up the rosters and select the best players to wear a Boilermaker uniform since Coach Joe Tiller's first season on the sidelines.

GoldandBlack.com's 20-year Purdue player draft will have 100 players chosen — two picks each weekday over the next 10 weeks. Boilermakers who were on Purdue rosters between 1997-2017 are eligible for selection. The draft order is Alan Karpick, Stacy Clardie, Kyle Charters and Brian Neubert.

Neubert continues his path to utter domination at No. 36 ...

Draft ticker: No. 1-35

Look at my offensive tackles. Look at them. Damn.

In Dennis Kelly, I just got a towering, athletic and long tackle talented enough to enjoy an extended stint in the NFL.

In Brandon Gorin, I now have two of them.

The converted defensive tackle took to offense in the early Tiller days like a duck to water, to use the most brutal cliché I can possibly come up with.

Gorin wasn't the big personality linemates Matt Light and Chukky Okobi were, nor did he get the left-tackle credit that comes with playing in front of an elite right-handed quarterback.

But the fact you very rarely heard his name was a very, very good thing, because he was rock solid at right tackle for an offensive line that might have been the best in school history.

Gorin was really good at Purdue, and in this theoretical exercise, I like him that much more because I've met my mandate for height, length and mobility at both tackle spots.
