To help commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Purdue's magical turnaround 1997 season, GoldandBlack.com's staff will break up the rosters and select the best players to wear a Boilermaker uniform since Coach Joe Tiller's first season on the sidelines.

GoldandBlack.com's 20-year Purdue player draft will have 100 players chosen — two picks each weekday over 10 weeks. Boilermakers who were on Purdue rosters between 1997-2017 are eligible for selection. The draft order is Alan Karpick, Stacy Clardie, Kyle Charters and Brian Neubert.

Neubert continues running rougshod over his colleagues with Pick No. 52.

Poor Antwuan Rogers.

No one in their Purdue football career was asked more about his weight and strength that this guy was, from the day he arrived on campus to pretty much the day he left after starting most of four seasons for the Boilermakers. Take it back, Taylor Stubblefield might have been, but no question Rogers got it a lot.

He was skinny when he showed up, less skinny — but still skinny — when he left.

But though his frame was much scrutinized all along, it never stopped him from being a very good, highly under-appreciated component to some strong Purdue defenses.

He was tall and long before tall and long became so chic at his position. He was fast and more physical than you'd have expected from a player whose dimensions were what they were.

I needed to address my cornerback slots here and got a very good one to start things off. I want speed all over my defense and height on the boundaries. Check and check.
