To help commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Purdue's magical turnaround 1997 season, GoldandBlack.com's staff will break up the rosters and select the best players to wear a Boilermaker uniform since Coach Joe Tiller's first season on the sidelines.
GoldandBlack.com's 20-year Purdue player draft will have 100 players chosen — two picks each weekday over 10 weeks. Boilermakers who were on Purdue rosters between 1997-2017 are eligible for selection. The draft order is Alan Karpick, Stacy Clardie, Kyle Charters and Brian Neubert.
Neubert continues assembling a formidable crew with Pick No. 76.
Draft ticker: Nos. 1-75
First of all, let me just say that it's beyond comprehension for me why Stacy would need two centers, or why she'd draft two centers to play at positions other than center when they were better centers.
But anyway, I had a plan, and like Mike Tyson once said, everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the face.
Anyway, Jordan Roos was the sort of offensive lineman at Purdue who might punch you in the face if that sort of thing was legal, or at least not frowned up. He's a physical and sometimes mean offensive lineman who'll help set a tone for an offensive that currently possesses an abundance of athleticism, but could use a big personality and fire-starter.
Purdue hasn't had the best offensive lines of late. That doesn't mean it didn't have good players. Jordan Roos was one of those good players and he'll be again for this paper-tiger juggernaut I'm bringing together.
