Construction on the Mackey Complex project gets under way this week, affecting some parking for the remaining men's and women's basketball games.
The H and L lots and the Grand Prix Track lot - all located north of the Mollenkopf Athletic Center - will close Friday and not be available for parking until the 2009 football season.

As a result, there will be no general public pay parking for men's basketball. Fans without a parking permit should park in a university garage on Northwestern Ave. or University St.
Parking in the two garages is free after 5 p.m. weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Handicapped parking previously available in H lot will be available in the garages, as well. A shuttle will run from the parking garage on University St. to Mackey.
The pick-up and drop-off location will be the bus pull-off on Third St., adjacent to the garage. The shuttle will operate for one hour prior to tip-off and one hour after the game ends.
Fans may continue to be dropped off at the designated area on the west side of Mackey Arena up until 15 minutes before the tip-off of each game.
Fans with permits for the closed lots will be admitted to the R lot, located north of Ross-Ade Stadium, as space allows.
For women's games, general pay parking will be available at the north end of R lot.
The first phase of the Mackey Complex construction will include the demolition of parking lots in preparation for creating the new football practice complex.
