Purdue's 13 points were its fewest in a win since 1996, when it defeated ninth-ranked Michigan, 9-3.
The last time a Big Ten team won a conference game while scoring 13 or fewer points was on October 5, 2019, when two did it: Michigan beat Iowa, 10-7, and Nebraska beat Northwestern, 13-3.
The combined 22 points in Purdue's 13-9 win vs. Illinois were the fewest in any Purdue game since 2013, when the Boilermakers lost 14-0 to Michigan State. It was the fewest combined points in Ross-Ade Stadium since 2006, when Wisconsin defeated Purdue 12-0.
